#Dong dong never die streets of rage 4 seriesĪs a Korean American novelist, I am often afraid that I will somehow let us down with what I write.I know how to keep the combo count very high continually blitzing the massive waves of enemies from one side of the screen to another and then heavy attacks combine with specials if I play with Estel or Blaze. Heat of the Battle (This is really needed for me)Ī Little Closer To The Stars ( At least 3) Ground Level (I must have this in my arsenal) My perks for a great Survival run must be: Glass Cannon (Probably the most useless perk)Įlemental Star Moves (If I'm going with Blood Thirst, ESM is a NO for me) Perks I avoid if I want a long run in Survival are: I wouldn't recommend ESM with Blood Thirst or Heat of the Battle cuz' it nerf your healing process from BT. Elemental Star Moves means less healing from blood thirst due to less direct damage, and I'm not really sure the elemental effects really make up for that (although tbh I haven't really tested ESM it enough to understand how it works, exactly) I'm still not sold on Heat of the Battle and Elemental Star Moves tbh. Also don't forget all purple perks except "Glass Cannon". Check Pato's YouTube channel and you will see him reaching over level 100 with almost all characters. If you do a no-element playthrough, Heat of Battle isn't as important since you can't really pump up the combo counter without electrical element, so it's up to your preference in that case. If you have Heat of Battle, Elemental Star is a must. This is not counting any other attack powerups.Īt that point the star move alone heals you better than without elements, and this is not counting any Tactical Support rockets falling down (at 500% damage gained from Heat of Battle!), or the fact that if you have a fire elemental, every enemy will rebounce several times and you can blitz them while they are still in the air for 50 hits more per blitz. This automatically puts you at around 250% damage, and there are star moves that do 10 or more hits (Adams and Floyds alternate star moves) which would raise you close to 200 hits or 4-500% damage. If you use a star move that does, say, 6 hits, then you now racked up 6*8*2 = 96 hits. Blitz into a crowd of 5 people once, and you are already at 40+ hits, and you are now above base damage.Īlso I should point out that if you have any attack power ups (damage up for up to 40%, glass cannon for 60%, full of yourself for up to 95%, last hurrah for up to 55%, ground level for 15%), those are all calculated from your base damage, not your reduced one from Heat of Battle - so you can do very large damage even at 0 hits with the appropriate perks.Īs for Elemental Star, early on it isn't that great, but once you reach the point where you regularly have 5+ enemies around you, it will work together with Heat of Battle and greatly raise your damage potential.įor example, if you are surrounded by 7-8 people and have electrical effect, every attack the star moves make will at least double the amount of hits. It's basicaly as many extra hits on the combo counter, as there are people surrounding you. If you have any electrical elements, Heat of Battle will rack up the combo counter extremely fast. That said, my best so far is 46 and I know it's possible to do better, so. Originally posted by TombKingsWill:I'm still not sold on Heat of the Battle and Elemental Star Moves tbh.
